Our history in the railway industry began in 1991 with the cooperation of Ismec Srl with Trenitalia SpA for manufacturing and refurbishing of the existing plants. In 1997 the first plant for the wheel mortising on railway boogies axles completely designed and manufactured by the internal division IMPACT starts to operate.

Within a few years exploiting the Group productive skills and acquiring further know-how, the division specializes in solutions with higher technological content: the manufacturing of equipment for the scheduled maintenance of locomotives and trucks.

It was the start of the production of a complete range of semi-automatic machines for carriage roads maintenance complete of many accessories like gantries, platforms, special boards and spare parts.

In 2006 ISMEC GROUP decided to extend its offer to the naval industry.
